The ERAS 2020 season will open for preseason setup Thursday, June 20, 2019 for July and September cycle programs and institutions.Please ensure that everyone at your institution who requires access to the Program Director’s Workstation (PDWS) has the appropriate privileges.After analyzing the results of two years of research into the reliability and validity of the tool, and taking into account feedback from program directors and applicants who participated in the operational pilot last year, the AAMC believes that the Standardized Video Interview may be an effective tool in the residency application and selection process.The emergency medicine residency program community* has again endorsed the use of the Standardized Video Interview for all applicants and program directors in emergency medicine.The AAMC will absorb the cost of the entire pilot program.There will be no additional cost to applicants, schools, or programs participating in this pilot.A neutral placeholder letter will be provided in place of the MSPE.This will ensure that your application will appear as complete for those programs that require an MSPE before considering your application.
